About Me
Makayla Richardson is a junior journalism student at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. In the summer, she is based in Southern California.
She is a reporter and anchor for NAZ Today, Northern Arizona's award-winning (and only) local news channel. Working for NAZ Today has allowed Makayla to become proficient in weather forecasting, interviewing, assembling packages, broadcast reporting.
Makayla also writes for The Lumberjack, Northern Arizona University's student newspaper and is the News Manager for KJACK Radio.
While living in Flagstaff, Makayla has learned the importance of forming and maintaining healthy bonds with sources, and she believes this knowledge has made her a better journalist.
